Passing on Vacation

According to a recent survey of 4,400 American workers, 35 percent say they haven't taken or aren't planning to take a vacation in 2009.

Am I Next?

In yet another sign that the slow economy has shaken the confidence of workers, a new survey of 1,278 employed adults finds 41 percent are concerned their company will pay off workers in the next six months, while 24 percent think they could be among the next victims of a payoff.

Staying Put

In the Workplace Watch survey of 650,000employed adults, 71 percent say they're "not seriously considering leaving" their companies.  That figure is up form 65 percent in last year's survey.

when 3.187 employed executives with an average salary of $206,000 are asked if they are either satisfied or very satisfied with their job, these professions rate the highest:

Tethered to E-mail

An international workplace survey of 6,167 HR, finance and accounting managers finds they spend an average of 30 to 44 minutes a day outside working hours checking their e-mail.

Too Many Jobs?

Working for three organizations in a 10-year period is the maximum amount of job-moving an executive should do in order to remain credible, according to 82 percent of 1,518 international executives surveyed. That percentage is up from 68 percent in 2007

Twenty-one percent of respondents say they have cheated on their time sheets to gain extra pay from their employer, according to a new survey of 681 U.S. adults who are paid hourly.
